Engine 66 is a 1989 Ford/Pierce Engine which was purchased new in 1989 by the department. Engine 66 currently serves as our reserve and 2nd out engine. It responds 2nd out to our primary engine and is a back up for when our primary engine is down for maintenance or on another call. Engine 66 carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon per minute pump. Engine 66 has a variety of other equipment including general firefighting hand tools, hoses/nozzles, gas detection equipment, and minimal vehicle extrication equipment to assist on motor vehicle accidents. Engine 66 is maintained and remains service for use, but is scheduled to be replaced in the coming year with the arrival of a new engine that is on order. Engine 66 has served the department well over the past 36 years and our members cherish many memories serving the community with this apparatus.
