Throwback Thursday: Old Engine 1

A vintage fire truck labeled "Pleasant Hill Newton Type 2 Fire Dept." is parked outdoors on a gravel surface. The truck is white with red and chrome accents and has hoses and equipment attached. Trees and a building are visible in the background.

Prior to this, firefighters rode to the fire standing on the rear tailboard of the truck, having to get their airpacks on after arriving to the fire.

Joint Training Exercise

A fire truck is parked near a yellow portable water tank, with hoses connected for water transfer. The scene is set on a sunny day in a parking lot, with trees and a billboard visible in the background.

The exercise simulated rural water supply tactics, in which tankers are used to bring water to fire scenes in rural areas that do not have nearby fire hydrants.
